Brittany Lantz, State Editor for Indiana-Ohio
Hi Hub Springfield Readers,
I’m thrilled to be joining Hub Springfield as editor, focusing on strengthening our local journalism. As I do, I bring with me a commitment to community-centered reporting and a promise to keep Springfield's stories, people, and priorities at the heart of our publication.
I was born and raised in Antwerp, Ohio (a small town about two hours north of Springfield), so I have a personal connection to and understanding of Ohio communities. It’s an honor to be able to report in my home state. My Buckeye roots and journalism experience will help me guide our coverage in Springfield.
I entered the world of journalism as a high school student, where I discovered the power of storytelling through yearbook and broadcast classes. Through those classes, I found a passion for journalism, which led me to pursue a degree in communication and journalism from Purdue University Fort Wayne.
I've been the editor of
Input Fort Wayne for over two years and was assistant editor for one year before that. I will continue as Input’s editor, adding responsibility for The Hub as the new State Editor for Indiana-Ohio for Issue Media Group.
I look forward to working alongside Hub Springfield’s talented contributors, Wil Hoffman, Andrew Grimm, and Diane Erwin, to continue bringing you solutions-based, community-oriented news.
If you’d like to connect with me, feel free to drop me a note at
[email protected].
Your editor,
Brittany Lantz
