Think Pink crew at City Hall Courtesy Think Pink
By all accounts, the Think Pink Takeover at COhatch last Friday was a smashing success. Think Pink organizers, volunteers, members of the community, and local businesses, all came together in full force, turning the town (and city hall) pink, to raise awareness and support for efforts to combat those affected by breast cancer.
For those unaware, COhatch is a co-working, food court, and event space, that also serves as a significant and impactful social hub in downtown Springfield. At the Think Pink Takeover, the venue was packed with vendors and participants enthusiastically gathered in support of a great cause.
The Think Pink Takeover was organized by breast cancer survivor and Leadership Clark County Executive Director, Leigh Anne Lawrence.
Coming up next for Think Pink, on Oct. 17, is The Think Pink Gala. According to Lawrence, the event is a black-tie affair as well as an event designed to share important information.
As she says, "We will continue raising awareness, sharing support services, and helping those on their breast cancer journey, as well as their loved ones. Think Pink was created from the deep love and support I received during my own breast cancer battle. I am incredibly honored by the outpouring of support from our community, and it fills my heart to be entrusted with helping other women through their journey. Our community coming together like this is a true testament to the power of love and solidarity."
