Equality Springfield’s annual Transgender Day of Remembrance

On Nov. 20, Equality Springfield will host its annual Transgender Day of Remembrance at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Equality Springfield will host its Transgender Day of Remembrance on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Springfield, 638 South Fountain Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45505. The event will feature speakers who will discuss the challenges the transgender and gender non-conforming community faces and the work done to make strides toward equality. After the program, Equality Springfield is inviting attendees to stay for food and fellowship.

The annual vigil is held to honor those we have lost to anti-trans violence over the last year.

Equality Springfield is a nonprofit based in Springfield, and is “committed to fostering inclusion, advocating for justice, and empowering communities to thrive.” They host various events throughout the year, including Springfield Pride.
